Using the Training Center as a Retail Manager
The Training Center on FurnishNearMe gives your sales team access to product training videos from manufacturer reps you’re connected with. These videos are especially helpful for training new salespeople, supporting stores in remote areas, and reinforcing product knowledge for items that are currently in stock.
As a Retail Manager, you’re responsible for setting up your team, monitoring their training progress, and flagging key videos to help your team focus on what matters most.
Inviting your salespeople to join the platform
Salespeople only gain access to the Training Center once they’ve been added to your business account on FurnishNearMe.
To invite a salesperson:
Go to your Business Settings.
Open the Users section.
Click Add User.
Enter the salesperson’s name and email address.
Set their Role to Salesperson.
Click Invite.
There’s no limit to the number of users you can invite. Once they accept, they’ll gain access to the Training Center and other useful tools like product catalogs and pricing information. You can also adjust permissions or deactivate users at any time.
What Salespeople can access
Salespeople will automatically see:
All training videos uploaded by manufacturer reps your store is connected with.
Product detail pages that include relevant training videos (if reps have linked a video to a specific product or collection).
Wholesale product catalogs for use during selling or product research.
If you give them additional permissions, they can also create and share product lists or collaborate more deeply with reps.
Highlighting the most important training
You can mark specific videos as required for your salespeople. This helps them know what to prioritize, especially when new team members are just getting started.
We recommend marking videos as required when:
They train on products you currently have in stock.
They support seasonal promotions or new product launches.
They’re especially helpful for common shopper questions or objections.
To mark a video as required:
Find the video in the Training Center.
Click the Required toggle or setting.
The video will now be highlighted as required for all users in your business.
You can update this at any time to reflect your current inventory or business focus.
Monitoring team progress
You can track video engagement for every user in your business:
See which salespeople have watched each video.
View a history of videos completed by each person.
Follow up with team members who haven’t watched required training.
This gives you visibility into who’s up to speed and where follow-up might be needed.
Ongoing Training Support
Because salespeople often turn over or join your team at different times, the Training Center helps ensure everyone has consistent access to product education — even when in-person visits from reps aren’t possible.
Manufacturer reps may upload new videos regularly, especially around new product releases or promotions. Make it a habit to check for new videos and update your list of required training so your team is always equipped with current knowledge.
