Tagging products you have In Stock
Tagging products as In-Stock helps customers see what you have available for immediate purchase, encourages store visits, and improves how your products appear in local search results.
In-Stock vs. Available To Order
Every product in your FurnishNearMe Shop is either marked as In-Stock or Available To Order.
In-Stock products represent items you physically have on hand and ready for customers.
Available To Order products represent items you can order from your vendors but may not currently stock in your store.
Where In-Stock tags appear
Products you sell are displayed in two key places:
On your personal Shop page.
In localized product search results for your area.
In-Stock products get priority in search Results
Products you tag as In-Stock are shown first in search results to local shoppers.
This means customers browsing in your area will see the products you have on hand before products that are only available to order.
Prioritizing in-stock items helps increase the chances of a customer visiting your store.
How to tag products as In-Stock
You can manually tag individual products as In-Stock and set the retail price directly in your Shop.
This gives you control over what’s shown to your customers and helps ensure your inventory stays accurate.
Expiration of In-Stock tags
In-Stock tags automatically expire after 90 Days.
When the tag expires, the product’s status reverts to Available To Order to prevent old inventory from appearing as still in stock.
You can reset the 90-day timer at any time if the product is still available in your store.
Removing In-Stock status
You can manually mark a product as no longer in stock at any time.
This helps keep your Shop accurate and avoids disappointing customers.
Using data feeds for In-Stock tagging
If you maintain a data feed for platforms like Google Shopping or Facebook, you can use that feed to import your in-stock product list to FurnishNearMe.
This method saves time and helps ensure your In Stock tagging stays accurate as your inventory changes.
